A space for ongoing psychodynamic thinking.
You’ve started to notice more in your coaching. Something beneath the surface. Patterns that don’t quite shift. Reactions that don’t fully make sense. And you don’t want that to fade.
The Psychodynamic Common Room is an ongoing space for coaches who want to keep thinking, keep developing their practice, and have somewhere to return to between courses.
No noise. No pressure to keep up. No endless content you’ll never watch.
Just a well‑held space you can step into when you want to think.
What the Common Room is
The Common Room is a monthly membership for coaches who want an ongoing relationship with psychodynamic thinking.
It’s designed as a professional space where you can:
- stay connected to psychodynamic ideas in a practical way
- keep developing your coaching between bigger pieces of training
- return to useful material when something in your practice starts to stir
- think alongside other coaches who are interested in depth, not performance
This isn’t about endlessly consuming content.
It’s about having a space you can step into when you want thoughtful input, a sharper lens, or a reminder that there is usually more going on than first meets the eye.
What’s included
Your membership includes:
Psychodynamic Nuggets
A growing bank of short, focused trainings you can watch on demand.
Designed to deepen your understanding of psychodynamic ideas in a way that is manageable, practical, and directly relevant to coaching.
Monthly Thinking Space
A live session held once a month.
Each session alternates between two formats:
- Thinking Space — bring what is showing up in your coaching work and think it through using a psychodynamic lens. This is about reflection, noticing patterns, and making sense of what is happening in the room.
- Reading into Practice — we work with a short, accessible piece of reading and focus on what it adds to your coaching, rather than turning it into something you feel you should already understand.
This is not therapy and it is not group supervision. It is a professional space for thinking, reflection, and developing your practice.
Resources and reflections
A developing collection of resources, including selected readings, recommended materials, and reflections from me to support your learning and keep the thinking alive.
First access to new training
Members hear first about upcoming courses, events, and new offers.
Who it’s for
The Common Room is likely to be a good fit if you:
- have done some psychodynamic training and want to keep building on it
- want ongoing contact with these ideas without signing up to another full course straight away
- value depth, reflection, and real thinking over quick fixes
- want a professional space that feels containing rather than overwhelming
- know that good coaching is not just about asking better questions
Who it may not be for
This might not be the right space for you if you are looking for:
- a large, busy online community
- constant accountability or lots of compulsory live calls
- a content dump of endless videos and downloads
- quick tips without theory or reflection
The Common Room is designed to be useful, thoughtful, and sustainable.
You don’t need to consume everything. You don’t need to attend everything. It’s there when you want to step into it.
A note on access
The Common Room is open to coaches who want to keep learning with me.
Some areas of the wider resource library are introduced after completing Essentials Psychodynamics for Coaches, so the material can build on a shared grounding and feel genuinely useful rather than overwhelming.
You don’t need to have done Essentials to join, but if you go on to do it, more of the library will open up in a way that makes sense for your practice.
Why I created it
Professional development can easily become a conveyor belt.
You do a course. You get the certificate. You leave with good intentions. And then real-life resumes.
The Common Room offers something different.
A way of staying in relationship with the work.
A space to keep thinking. To keep noticing. To keep developing your practice in a way that has depth, without demanding that you rearrange your whole life.
Membership
Founding membership is £27 per month.
This rate is available to early members and will increase over time.
You can stay for as long as it is useful to you.
